Mesa/Boogie 1x15 Diesel Cab (Chicago)

Mesa/Boogie 1x15 Diesel bass cabinet loaded with an 8 ohm, 400W Mesa/Boogie Black Shadow EVM 15L.

Picked this up off the CL last year, and it's just too much for what I'm doing. Pretty good shape for the age, with appropriate cosmetic wear, IMHO.

Has single 1/4" input jack, and mounts for pole casters (not included).

I'd prefer to keep this local due to the weight.

I just picked up a Mesa Walkabout Scout head, so I'd be interested in a cab trade. I'm looking for a Mesa Walkabout Scout 1x 12" cab (w/o the head) or a lightweight (neo) 1x12" bass cab.

Hmmmm, not sure how to answer that Krovx. I haven't used too many cabs, so my pool of experience is somewhat limited. I've only used this cab a couple of times with my Alembic F-1x/Stewart World 2.1, and it sounds good. Since I'm selling the power amp too, maybe I'll pull out the rig one more time today to try and provide a better description.

OK, just spent some time playing through the cab, and have some fresh opinions.

I ran my Alembic F-1x/Stewart World 2.1, as well as my Mesa Walkabout through it.

Overall, I like the sound of this cab. It can give a nice, wall and floor shaking thump. It can also give you a muted, boomy sound, and also give some good clean articulation.

Seems like it would be well suited for vintage / rock type sounds. Don't know if it's the best for hi-fi applications, but it's a solid, warm sounding cab.
