Mesa Boogie 400+, 2-Diesel 1x15" cabs F/S: Traded local for a Alembic

Sign in to disble this ad
You know the brand, you know the amp. I don't need two of these so my spare Mesa Boogie 400+ and 2 vertical Mesa Diesel 1x15" cabs are up for sale locally to the Mid-Atlantic area only for now. I am in Maryland and really do not wish to ship due to weight and a bad shipping experience once before with a heavy amp. Handbuilt in Petaluma, California, 500 Watts @ 2 Ohms, All Tube, Class A/B Power. That's right, 500 TUBE WATTS stable to 2 Ohms. Don't be fooled by the many 'nano bass amps' flooding the market, weighing ounces and promising thousands of watts. This IS the industry standard for bass. No more being lost in the mix. Send your swollen ego guitar player off to cower in the corner, sobbing! The tubes are fairly fresh Mesa tubes (good glow throughout) with a pair of Sovtek tubes after a pair of Mesa's crapped out. Fixed biasing allows this and not a wholesale re-tubing. The Sovtek tubes are third from the right in the rear amp pic. There are 3 missing plastic tabs on the graphic eq but these are only the tabs. The controls are there and can be seen in the side shot.
The Diesel Series 1x15" cabs are in great shape and much easier to move than the 'Fridge' sized 2x15" and the 1516BE cabs. I know. I still have my 1516BE but I have sold BOTH of my Roadready 2x15" monsters. Plus I can load this whole rig and a few basses in my VW Golf. The top cabinet is covered in Mesa Bronco tolex and the lower in the Mesa Taurus tolex. Tolex in very good shape with not too many dings, extremely clean, just dusty. Both have the stock EV 400 watt speakers. I am looking to get $750 for the head and $325 each for the cabs. I will sell the whole bone crushing rig for $1,200 as a package deal. I have a 6 space rack I will add to sweeten the deal at no charge when you buy the lot. I mean, who wants to carry around a naked head?? I will entertain offers but the prices are about right and I am not looking for trades at the moment. I am also listing this on the local Craigslist for a bit more, the lower price is for my TB brethern. Please feel free to ask any and all questions. I am linking to a Picasa album for the first tyme so be gentle. Let me know if there is a problem there.

PM's replied to. I do not know the hours on the tube set, she was my spare. They still sound good next to my working rig that has new Boogies. Only trade bait would be the odd Alembic if someone has an extra lying about .

Location, location, location

Getting PM's as to the location of the Batcave. To help in figuring distances, my zip is 21756 for your Google and GPS pleasure. Oh yea, bump.

Dammit! And I was just thinking today how nice it would be to get a deal on a 400+ for my Custom 4x12. And I live locally.

That's a heckuva good deal. If I had the cash I'd be all over it (and I'm local too!). Just not sure I can move my MB rig to get the funds before ya move it.
