Mesa Boogie Bass 400

Putting this up for sale again. Before I had it for sale as part of a rig but now I'm selling the Mesa only. I'd like to get $700 for it, but will consider offers, including trades. We can negotiate shipping, though if you're within reasonable driving distance of KY I'd prefer not to ship, I don't care to drive to meet. Amp sounds incredible, in great shape. I would rate the cosmetic condition as better than most of the Bass 400/400+ I see, though it does have some wear and tear due to the age. This is the original Bass 400, non-plus model. 2, 4, and 8 ohm selector switch. Six 6550 tubes. The power tubes do need to be changed. PM offers, all offers considered.

IMHO, there are far better sounding amps than the 12 tube modern versions. Way more of an SVT tone but with lots of tone shaping ability.

Best of luck with the sale!

From what I've been able to figure out from researching, @ 4 ohms its going to be pushing about 275-280 tube watts. Pushes closer to 475-480 at 2 ohms. It will move some serious air once its retubed, no question.

Appreciate the offer Mark but I'm going to have to pass. I had my Geddy up for sale recently but can't bring myself to let it go. Thanks anyway.
