Mesa Boogie Buster 200 Head

SOLD ---

I'm putting this back on the block, there is not a thing wrong with it, just not using it very much...

This amp is in very good condition. It does have a few scuffs on the top left side, but none of them go through the tolex. It is very clean otherwise.

It has a set of JJ 6L6GC's and a mix of JJ and EH preamp tubes. It gets surprisingly loud and sounds great.

Priced at 700 bucks, which will include shipping within the lower 48 states. It weighs 46 pounds, according to my scale, so the free shipping is not insignificant.

If you are close enough to work out a local pickup, $650 will get it.

Bump - clean Buster head units don't come around very often.

I'm kinda looking for a vintage sounding micro amp that I can tuck away for a backup amp, so ...

I don't have any clips, or a way to make any decent ones.

Not much experience with SVT's either, but I do have a V4B.

Comparing to that, I'd say the Mesa is punchier and a bit more aggressive, and the V4 sounds a bit rounder and fuller in the low mids.
The Mesa seems to have a bit more going on in the low end, and of course, gets louder.
Also, where the V4B breaks up into full distortion at noon, the Mesa stays pretty clean. If you really crank the gain it gets wooly, but it doesn't really go into the full breakup like a V4B will.

I must say I am very interested. Im waiting on a head to sell. Its supposed to be bought tomorrow so if it is I will most likely be getting a hold of you.
So perhaps I will speak with you tomorrow!

Also what are the length and width measurements on this? If you dont mind...
Thanks
Derek

46 lbs is about as light a tube amp as you'll find. Well, at least a 200W tube amp. I miss tubes.
