SOLD ---
I'm putting this back on the block, there is not a thing wrong with it, just not using it very much...
This amp is in very good condition. It does have a few scuffs on the top left side, but none of them go through the tolex. It is very clean otherwise.
It has a set of JJ 6L6GC's and a mix of JJ and EH preamp tubes. It gets surprisingly loud and sounds great.
Priced at 700 bucks, which will include shipping within the lower 48 states. It weighs 46 pounds, according to my scale, so the free shipping is not insignificant.
If you are close enough to work out a local pickup, $650 will get it.

I'm kinda looking for a vintage sounding micro amp that I can tuck away for a backup amp, so ... |

Not much experience with SVT's either, but I do have a V4B.
Comparing to that, I'd say the Mesa is punchier and a bit more aggressive, and the V4 sounds a bit rounder and fuller in the low mids.
The Mesa seems to have a bit more going on in the low end, and of course, gets louder.
Also, where the V4B breaks up into full distortion at noon, the Mesa stays pretty clean. If you really crank the gain it gets wooly, but it doesn't really go into the full breakup like a V4B will. |
