Mesa Boogie Powerhouse 212 cabinet

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey TB'ers. I have a Mesa Powerhouse 212 for sale. This cab is less than 6 months old and in great shape. It is a 4ohm cabinet.
It's been gigged but well taken care of. Comes with casters and a Mesa Boogie cover. There is some very light scuffing on the top of the cabinet from a rack case sitting on it. There are no rips or holes in the tolex.

I'm asking $600 plus shipping, or a local pickup. Only trade considered would be an Orange 115 OBC, Orange Bass Terror, or perhaps some sort of bass trade.

The Mesa website says 78 lbs. I'd say that's fairly accurate. It's no lightweight, but it's not too bad to move. It's certainly a LOT lighter than the Orange cabs I'm using now!

Volume-wise, how does it compare to your OBC410?

I'd say it's pretty similar volumewise. It has deeper lows, and is a bit more "big" sounding, while the OBC is more punchy and mid forward.

This is probably, soundwise, one of the most awesome 212's on the market. I A/B'd with my GK Neo 212 with my 700RB-II. The PH212 produces an incredible amount of sound power coupled with that GK amp head. Its a little pricey new and a bit heavier (my ultimate reasons for going with the Neo) but there are many times I find myself wishing I sprang for this awesome cab.

Some lucky soul gets to do it at a significant reduction over new.

Im in NW Ohio, but the cabinet is now spoken for. I'll let you know if the deal would happen to fall through, but I don't think it will.
