MESA BOOGIE Powerhouse 410 with casters/ cover. SF Bay or pick up....

I am going through my cab phase again. This has been the longest consecutive time I've used a stack. I usually keep a cab for a couple months then I move on. This time, I kept my Mesa Boogie stack for well over a year, so I guess it's been good.

I already sold my 115 Powerhouse to a fellow TB'er who arranged to have the cab picked up and shipped - it was easy and that's the ONLY way I will ship this cab. OTHERWISE, I prefer a local Sonoma Co / SF Bay Area local pickup.

I have a Mesa Boogie Powerhouse 410 bass cab. Silver face, earlier model, I guess. I bought a new cover for it and the cab is perfect.

$500 seems to be a good price for what you get. It's rated 600w @ 8 ohms and this thing is loud.

Mike

No NEO here. It is a 98 lb cab, 13 ply birch, real magnets. This is NOT the cab for you with a bad back. This cab is LOUD, and tight. I know you're going all light, so maybe a MarkBass 210 is right for you. Man, those Peavey Cirrus's are something , huh !

Too bad that cab looks killer & I always wanted to try a Mesa cab but the weight would kill me though. Shipping would cost across the country too but I can't even think about that cab way too heavy sorry brah!!!!

I want more USA Cirrus basses in my stable!!! I may have to unload my Alembic Triple Omega for around $4800!!! That will cover all expenses shipping setup care inspection etc that I have into her.

Well I may sell you a Cirrus just to keep it in the family. I will have to think hard about the idea of selling one. I think you'll have no problem selling the John Paul Jones Alembic. If you don't play it, it sure is taking up a lot of cheese !

Back to this cab - It sounds great and has a nice growl and when the tweeter is at 75% the articulation really pops out. This is one of those cabs that I may regret selling someday, but for now I want to try something new.

Those speakers really thump you can get that type of cab to get really low and they can handle b strings all day. Good Luck w the sale of the Mesa sorry I cannot snatch this one up. Damn wish this Mesa was a NEO CAB !!!
Michael keeps his gear PRISTINE I am sure this cab is in "Like New" condish plus it has a cover folks!!!!

OK here's the latest news - I FINALLY was able to try the much talked about and praised Bergatino 410. I took my Mesa M6 Carbine and this Mesa PH 410 and put them side by side. I did an A / B between them.

The difference was so miniscule that there was no way I could justify going Bergatino, spending an arm and a leg, and selling my Mesa for a tad more low end in the Bergie. The Bergatino AE 410 and the Mesa PowerHouse 410 sounded nearly identical. The owner of the Bergie said that my cab may even have sounded louder to him. PLUS, my Mesa is 8 ohms and the Bergie was 4 ohms. That means I can add another 410 and still be at 4 ohms, as opposed to 4 ohms on the Bergie alone.

Yes, the Bergatino weighed half as much as the Mesa and would be a treat to gig with, but when I play the cab just sits there...

So, I have decided to keep this 410 and just add another 410 (most likely SWR) and have the bass stack monster tone !
