Hey gang - I've decided to retire my Mesa BassTriaxis to the studio, and jettison my all tube rig I've been touring with for many years. So up for grabs is my beloved Strategy 500. Here's the scoop:
- 3 rack spaces
- 47 pounds
- roughly 200 watts per channel
- each channel has 2 switchable "tracks", which have independent volume & presence controls, and switchable Deep and Half drive modes
- 4 12ax7s, 8 6L6s, 4 6550s
- you can run two 4 or 8 ohm cabs per channel. That's right: you can potentially run 4 cabs on this beast without breaking a sweat.
This amp is in great shape, functions perfectly, and has a new set of Mesa tubes in there. I leave the top cover off for easy tube access, and at some point I lost it. You won't really need (or want) the top if you have it racked, and if you do, most of Mesa's rack tube lids will fit as a replacement.
I'm including a 4 space rack bag with this, so all you have to do is drop in your preamp of choice and you're set to go.
$1000 , and/or the following trades:
- Ibanez USA ATK
- Gibson Victory
- Gibson RD (Artist or Standard)
- NS Design NXT
- Mesa Rectifier Recording Preamp
Here's a pic from my old Rack of Doom (it's the top unit, under the power conditioner):
I'll yank this out of the rack and post more pics if anybody is interested.
