Last thread got well off track, and I am adding some options.
Mesa Buster, 200 watt head. 3 band eq, and also a (defeatable) 7 band graphic eq. Having owned several tube amps from 100-300 watts, Id say this amp is rated a little on the conservative side. Its plain loud.
The Buster is in good overall condition, and has J/J 6L6's in the power section.
Tonally, its a little cleaner overall than what youd call the Ampeg tone. Still tube warmth, but this is a little quicker sounding to my ear. One of the better sounding amps Ive played through, and will likely be one Ill regret letting go of. Just sounds like a good bass amp should.
