Mesa M-Pulse 600 (mint) in SKB rack case $800 SHIPPED!

Sign in to disble this ad
FS: Absolutely mint condition Mesa M-Pulse 600 mounted in 2U SKB rack case since day one. I am the original owner (bought new in March '04). This amp is the newer "black face" type (vs. blue) and has (2) 1/4" speaker outputs (no speakons). Performance has been flawless-no issues. High-quality construction, superb tone and power! Includes AC line cord, operating manual, footswitch (never used) and spare fuses (never needed), and the SKB of course. You will enjoy the remaining two and a half years (almost) of the Mesa 5-year warranty (transferrable). These are going for $1399.99 new! (not to mention the cost of the SKB...) $800 shipped to continental US only, please. No trades please! Pics are available on request. What a deal!

Kevin

Kobass,
In my local craigslist I noticed a guy was looking for one of these. I emailed him this AD link. Good luck to you both.

The following is from Page 3 of the owner's manual:

"The optimum speaker load for your M-Pulse is 4 Ohms. You may use a cabinet (s) of a higher rating safely (8 Ohm) with no degradation in tone, however the amplifier will not produce its full rated wattage. Minimum load rating is 2 Ohms and while the M-Pulse will handle this lower load condition-and in fact produce more than its rated power, it is not recommended. Prolonged use of a 2 Ohm load will cause the power mosfets to run hot causing the protection circuit to trigger and mute the output signal until such time as the mosfets can return to a safe operation temperature. Avoid using 2 Ohm loads whenever possible."

Bump for a great head...... this head sounds very much like a full tube amp. It is oriented more toward 'clean' tube tone than dirty or gritty, and is very high quality. It is also VERY loud.... a great head for those looking for modern tube tone without having to haul around a big Demeter type tube amp and separate pre.

Seems like it says the same thing in the WalkAbout manual. Ah well, I scored a WT550, and they give 2 ohms a blessing.
