$575 obo and split shipping with me. What I really like about this head is a couple things - sound-wise, it's old school sound. Works so well with modern neodymium speakers, really rounds them out. Yet, it can be punchy and full with something like an inefficient Acme cab. I'm just not willing to haul this thing around like I was when I was younger. I seem to grab the F500 every time now. Also, since this is from the Venture combo, this head has the control face angled which I gotta say, is really nice to see when reaching around to crank the volume up! The compressor on this is really nice and tweakable. No footswitch included.
While this thing is 100% functional in every way, it has one wart - when I got it, at louder volumes the thing "buzzed". Turns out, the top of the unit just couldn't get a good 'seal" with the body and the top rattled. Heck, made it easy though to remove and get at the tubes. What I did was to put some foam between the top and the body of the unit, then screwed it down and it fixed it. So cosmetically, it's not perfect, even though the buzz is gone and it works 100% perfectly. I've replaced the foam already once in the 3 years I've owned the head, as the foam seems to compress over time and the buzz occasionally returns, but nothing like when I first bought it.
One other issue: I've noticed occasionally the passive input jack gets crackly. I've opened it up, everything seems secure, nothing loose. I have for the past couple days, played through the passive input several times, and it seems fine right now, it's not crackled in 2 days. not at all. But wanted full disclosure.
So, bottom line, if you're looking for a great tube head, without the price tag of even what most go for used here on TB, I think you'll be very happy.
