Mesa Walkabout Scout 15 Cabinet (4 Ohm)

Sign in to disble this ad
Mesa Walkabout Scout 15 cabinet with passive radiator and slip cover. It has the player control network with the adjustable crossover switch. Near mint condition aside from two places on the rear lower edge where the tolex got cut slightly from using my fold up two wheel hand cart. These are shown in the picture. I had them covered with duct tape but removed it in order to provide full disclosure in the picture. No other tears or skuffs at all. Very clean cabinet with low hour of usage. Used only on a few small gigs and rehearsals. Never pushed hard. Original 4 ohm neo speaker. Asking $400.00 plus shipping.

FWIW, I own a Scout 12, and a few months ago bought the 15" Scout. The difference is quite noticeable. The 12 always worked fine on bar gigs, but the 15 just seems so much more, um, self-assured.

Agreed, the 15" fills the room so much more. The 12" couldn't hack my rock gig but the 15" did easily.

What's the diff in weight between the 12 and the 15?

Without carrying both to the bathroom scale, I can only say the 15 is a bit heavier, but I can still lift it with one hand. Because it is physically larger though, it doesn't hang by my side as nicely as the 12.

The one I bought had casters on it already and I like them. I roll it mostly and lift it onto curbs or up stairs when I come to them.

BTW the 15 is far louder than the 12, as the 15 can actually handle and USE all 300 Walkabout watts, whereas the 12 cannot.
