Mint Condition Markbass R500

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all,

Up for sale, I've got a bit of a rare gem - the Markbass R500. Some specs. - The R500 is a tube/ss hybrid with 3 tubes in the preamp section, analog power sections and weighs a whopping...

8 lbs! That's right, 8lbs. As a NYC musician this was a must have for me but alas, I splurged a little bit on a new bass (Ken Smith 6-string) and have been rocking my LMII more frequently so I have to recoup some funds before the wife figures out what went down. So I'm going to let this go for $575 obo. A little more info about the amp:

This amp packs a lot of feature in a uniquely small package. Tuner out, effects send/return, ground lift switch, DI out and control, pre and post EQ send, controls: low, mid-low, mid-high, high, line out, gain and master so you can overdrive the tube for tube distortion, has an input for a mute (mute pedal not included).

Like I said this amp is a rare bird (as it's no longer in production) and sounds phenomenal, as well is being in factory-new condition. Pics to be posted soon.

Amp is in perfect condition, and I'll permit the buyer a few days to check it out and, if any problems arise, I'll have no problem taking it back.

Pics to be posted soon.
$575.

- John

Edit:

More specs.

WHY?!?!

Just kidding. I owned this amp right before John...I still regret trading it away and I wish I had the cash to buy it off of him. For some reason, this amp gets the least amount of love from the Markbass line, even though to me it has the best sound out of all of them. Flat it sounds like a LMII, but if you crank up the grit...wow, does it ever give a Walkabout a run for it's money! (Heck, it gives the DB750 one too!!)

That's a pretty ballin' price. New, this was $900 (well, $899 )
This one looks very much as new and functions even better. Good luck with the sale, this shouldn't take long to sell at all. But I know you'll regret it dude.

Thanks for the love, Constantine. I def. prefer this over the Walkabout I traded you but, alas, that's another story for another time.

Saturday morning bump.

I calls 'em like I sees 'em.

I can't imagine this amp not leaving it's new owner with a Keanu Reeves face ("Whoa.")

Side note, met him once at a GC (I know, I know), he couldn't have been nicer.
