Monsterous Madison 8X10 Cab - Ohio

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello folks,

I've been using a monster of an 8X10 cab for the last year as part of my outdoor rig for a country band. My plans for this season and beyond have me looking at more compact options, so I need to sell this cab.

Madison stopped making bass cabinets from what I can tell, but they're still in the guitar cab business. The drivers are Madison branded except for one that has been replaced with something similar. It's got three tweeters with a crossover, metal grille, and is currently covered in truck bed liner (the tolex was ripped to begin with and didn't survive the season!). I added a nice set of tip-back wheels to it and replaced all the corners with new metal ones while I was recoating it. The cab is supposed to be rated for 1200W (?) though I had great sounds through it with about 600, and it even sounded good with my 35W tube head pushing it. Not full, but good.

I'd like to get $350 for it. I'll put up pictures tonight. Local, or at least local enough to meet up in Ohio, would be best!

I've already spent the money, so cash is king. I'd consider partial trades of effects.

Thanks,
Dennis

Funniest thing. I always thought this was an 8 ohm cabinet. I just measured 4 ohms!

So, it's 4 ohms.

She's a beast, and she's making my new tiny Carvin 1503 feel mildly inadequate.
Feel free to make me some offer, Midwesterners!

Traded with a local guy for a Madison 4X10 plus some swag. Better size, way better condition. So, no longer for sale. The 4X10 will likely be for sale soon, I'm loving the Carvin 1503
