Musicman HD-130 back up for sale/trade

Sign in to disble this ad
Selling a vintage Musicman HD-130 for $575. This is the early version with the preamp tube. Only flaw is that is still has a two prong cord, otherwise its got good condition tubes. I haven't gotten the tremelo to work but I don't have a footswitch to try it out. I've been going back and forth as to whether or not to sell the amp, but my vintage Ampeg is a more perfect fit for me.

The amp will be professionally packed, shipped, and insured through UPS. That and the paypal fees are included in the cost.

Going to head up to the practice space tonight, I'll take some pictures and include some youtube sound clips.

I'm open to trades, especially for a Peavey T-40, Ampeg V4b, or Traynor YBA-3.

Bump! Also a great guitar head for those of you who pull double duty or would like to keep a versatile amp around for the practice space.

You can jumper the channels on these things like an old Marshall and get gainy sound that is NUTS. The cleans are beautiful too!

PRICEDROP to $535. Includes paypal fees and shipping to the continental US. This is the most desirable version of these heads.

Couple of corrections to make thanks to forum users rumblethump and jte:

firstly: The "preamp" tube in there is actually a power inverter tube.

secondly: It IS an HD-130 REVERB.

Fortunately these things still sound great and thunderous on bass! Right now its at the shop getting a once over before I ship and that grounded power cord put on there--- JTE says that they came stock w/ three prong power cords, but I dunno, I couldn't tell you one way or the other. Regardless its being replaced! I bought it from my amp tech, so it is in great working condition, with SED tubes set to factory bias.

Cosmetically there is a minor tear or two in the tolex, but it looks clean and great!

Ask all the questions you want. More pictures to come when it gets out of the shop next week.
