one of a kind fEARful 15/6 in gold sparkle duratex hand built by Leland Crooks

$900 Paypal preferred

So................. this has happened:

and of course it has prompted me to sell some of my beloved cabs that I'm not using.

Now, I love this thing. It's just that I never use it. I used it on exactly 12 gigs. And on 5 of those, not even for the whole show as I was A/B-ing it against an El-Whoppo and 2 Barefaced cabs or 2 Acmes. So it is in brand-new condition, probably isn't even totally broken in yet.

-- to-spec (with official badge) 15/6 (no tweeter)
-- hand-built by Leland Crooks himself
-- has a 3-position switch in back for the mid driver: -0db, -6db, or OFF (in this position the cab functions as a fEARful 15sub)
-- extra-huge rubber feet
-- gold corners and gold handle hardware
-- two top handles and two side handles

the weight is unknown at this time. It feels around 55-60 lbs. It probably weighs around what other 15/6's weigh that are made out of wood.

The cab has been finished in a one-of-a-kind Gold-Sparkle Duratex. This was a concept come up by myself, w/Leland's help. I have tried taking a couple different photos, with different camera settings, but any shot in full lighting simply does not do the cab justice. In the first photo, the color is about right, but it doesn't show how sparkly it really is.

In this photo, it looks too bland. It should be noted that the smudgy, kind of dingy parts that look like coffee got spilled on the cab are the parts that make the sparkles really show up nice under stage lighting.

In this one the sparkles show up a little

the back of the cab w/the 3-position switch

The cab looks best on stage with blue or green lighting on it. I tried to approximate this by using a laptop with the facebook sign-in page as the only lighting for this photo

Asking $900. It cost a LOT more than that to have built. If you are looking for a pimp cab that is loud as hell, can take a ton of watts, is sonically pure, and has been hand-built by an acknowledged cabinet-building master then look no further. If you don't know about fEARful cabs, then there is a ton of info out there about them.

I will ship, but the buyer pays the total cost, which will not be cheap. HOWEVER, I am willing to drive 150 miles out of Buffalo NY for free to deliver. This puts it within range of Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Albany, even Columbus or NYC.

Shaft would be proud.

Congrats!

I remember seeing Leland posting pics of this cab, I love the color. The 15/6 is a beast of a cab. I used mine with a 1Kw amp and it never complained no matter how hard I pushed it.

Here are a few of Leland's shots of this cab.

I used this last night for the first time in months to demo it for a dude who never showed up and this thing is awesome. Sometimes I forget how awesome of a 15 this is when compared to almost any other single 15 out there ..... it's just on another planet.

Anyways, I love it and it looks totally pimp

I have a performing/teaching gig at Brandeis University all this week. It's near Boston, Mass. I was going to bring another smaller cab to the gig, but if anyone in the Boston area wants to check out the fEARful, let me know and I'll bring that one instead

That is the most obnoxious fearful I've ever seen... I love it!

Someone with a Kustom tuck and roll head needs to grab this.

This is killin' me. I loved building that, it took a lot of time with the finish to make me happy. I pretty much made minimum wage building it. Somebody give it a good home. Edit: If I were to do another like it, it would be at least 400 over a standard 15/6. This is a good buy.

It's not you babe, it's me

Geez Leland, I wish I could keep this.

Chicks get all goo-goo ga-ga over this cab. And it can take pretty much anything anyone could throw at it in terms of watts/sounds/effects. Pretty much any sound that you could dream up for your bass -- if your head can make the sound then this cab can reproduce it
