Orange Terror bass 1000

Just got this a few weeks ago from another TB'er. It's in great shape. Sounds amazing. I am just looking to try something else. I would not be upset if I had to keep this guy.If anyone wants an awesome head at a really good price PM me. $650 shipped and comes with an orange gig bag.
The head has a great rock tone. But the 1000 watt power section is also great to run a pre amp of your choice for more tonal options. I find that I like the head for both its own tube pre and by-passing it through the effects return and using a B7K or tone hammer. Sounds amazing and loud.
Tubes were just checked out by a local amp repair man.
$650 is as low as I am willing to go.

Well I'll be damned if I didn't just pay $849 for a brand new TB500 less than a year ago... :banghead:

Honestly though, love the sound of these heads, especially through an orange cab. GLWTS!

Just sayin. These amps will blow the doors off anything in their price range volume wise. The rest is all just tone considerations.

@mntngrown, you are %100 correct. Im keeping this, it just too awesome. And 11 pounds. I do need the $ but Im gonna sell a cab instead. Im just gonna wind up buying it again. Anyone that was on the fence should check out
like new Orange tb1000
This one is the same production date as mine. 4/11. So the gain structure gets loud a bit faster than the new ones. But I never have a problem getting a great bedroom tone. And at practice. Wow. Great tone, plenty of headroom. Sorry guys.

I'm running an SVT3 pro, but don't want to carry around my rack for it. It's an 8u box with only a little power conditioner in it.

Could I buy a different rack? Sure, but what's the fun in that.

^ I hear ya. I actually had an SVT3 that I used in an instrumental band that I was in. I would put it up there with some of my favorite heads actually. But the orange exceeds it in more ways than one. The eq section of the orange is unique in that most of the tonal curve happens from 0 to about noon. From there it only has a small boost from noon to max. Thats the biggest critique that I hear on the bass terrors. But once you get the hang of the eq, there are quite a few great tones to dial in.

Wow, fantastic deal! I thought I made out like a bandit when I got my TB1000 used from GC for $700, and I had to pay shipping and tax. This is a great price for a great amp.
