Original Mark Bass Little Mark (yes, Mark I! rare and hard to find!)

Sign in to disble this ad
FS: Mark Bass Little Mark Slim Head 450 (aka Little Mark Mark I)

This is the extremely rare and hard to find original Mark Bass Little Mark. I am the original owner and I believe this is from the second or third batch of amps Marco had imported to the US. The Date on the amp is 03-2004 and the official model on the back is a Little Mark C. It's from back when there were only a handful of Mark Bass dealers, before they were in every Guitar Center from here to the moon.

The Little Mark I is very similiar to the Little Mark II except it doesn't have the VPF control, and it's bright frickin' yellow. The amp powers 450 @ 4 ohms. Super easy to use controls: Gain, Low level, Low Mid, High Mid, High Level, VLE, and Volume. It doesn't get much easier to dial in tone on the fly then that. there's also a balanced Mic input on the front, I'm assuming for using a microphone on an acoustic instrument, but don't hold me to that. The back panel is equally easy to navigate, ground lift switch, DI, tuner out, effects send/return and two 1/4" power out jacks.

I still have the unfilled warranty card, and I know that I still have the original beat to hell box and shipping pads. I may have the manual somewhere around the house. It's seen a few gigs and has a few minor scratches on the top and bottom from being loaded in and out of my amp bag with cables next to it. I make it sound worst then it really is though. I'd says it's cosmetically a 95% and functionally 120%. This amp is a tank. I love it's size, power, and overall reliability, but I'm switching back to Eden.

Asking $325 + actual shipping. Sorry no trades E-mail me with any questions thanks for looking!

You should've come to the columbus area gtg... probably could've sold it there. Looks like a good deal though, so I'm sure someone will probably jump on it. Good luck with the sale.

Got the pics (thanks) and have a couple more questions:

1) Does this LMC have any perceived advantages over a LM II? For instance, some prefer the older LM II limiter design over that of the new, "improved" LM III. When the LM II replaced the LMC, were there similar concerns over a changed feature?

2) Is the missing VPF control largely the concern of slappers? (This may be a question more for current LMII/III players as opposed to the seller - jump in everyone!)

I'll have to turn that over the the LMII users since I really don't have a clue. As a side note, this thing is not nearly as light as the LMIIs. it weighs in at about 18 lbs. on the bathroom scale. Not sure if that'd be a deal breaker but thought I'd lay it out there for everybody.

Bump for the final price drop to $325 firm + shipping. If it doesn't move at that price, it's headed to ebay.
