PEAVEY MEGABASS ! Digital Bass amp/Biamp

Sign in to disble this ad
You Peavey super freaks already know this amp - It's loud, articulate, warm, fast, and everything in between. Just ask MNAIRHEAD ! Tim loves these amps ! I have this amp listed in a few different places, so act quickly if you want it. In the past TB'ers ask me details about a bass or amp I have for sale, then drop off never to be heard from again.
$225 plus actual shipping
- Mike
SF Bay Area encouraged to pickup locally.

Price lowered to $179 plus shipping. I still have it on other sites, so act quickly.

These amps sound amazing! One of these would rock with a fEarful biamping for those who are into that kinda thing. The HF chorus is superb also.

Don't let the fact that it says Peavey scare you off these amps a very good indeed!

I've owned hundreds of amps --- this one is stunning (after you read the manual)

This is ideal for folks who want a transparant/clean signal and/or use line6 etc...

The biamp is a lost art on this one.

IF I need a big amp.. and if I'm carrying my own stuff.. this is the junk.

Mine was sent back to Meridian .. they went though it top to bottom.. well worth the investment.

Loved the way mine sounded in biamp mode with a 15" on the bottom and 2 10" on the top.

Thats' the setup I have.. the frequencies are tuned different for the cabs..

It's super sweet to only have chorus on the upper side.

They're comparable to upper GK from the same era.. .. these were the solid state cadillac of the time.

What a trip down memory lane! I ran this and a 1516 cabinet for nearly four years. Bump for a great price on a really terrific piece of gear.

Hey Tim !
I am never sure I want to sell any of my gear ! ESPECIALLY Peavey gear !!! At the end of the day, the guys on stage who's gear still works ALWAYS says "PEAVEY" on it ! Peavey are the kings of dependability, there's no arguing that.

As far as this amp goes, I LOVE the tone, but (believe it or not) it's just too much amp for me. I am happy with my Mesa walkabout head.

I need to sell this amp. As I said, it's been in the recording studio and it will tackle ANY SITUATION you throw at it.

Someone will be VERY happy with this amp ! Thanks Timmy !!!

I rocked one of these for 6 to 7 years, every other weekend.
Not only is this a great amp, they are indistructable.

People can't seem to get their mind around this fact still to this day - Peavey makes a very affordable product that has the highest record of reliability. It seems like an oxymoron.

Imagine if a new Lexus cost $15,000. People would scratch their heads and wonder, "What's the catch?" But, since a new Lexus costs $65,000 it now makes sense.

This is close to a boutique amp as any. It has limitless possibilities, and as Tim said, it's transparent, so you get the sound of the wood, the pups, and your fingers without a lot of coloration.

When I sent mine back to Merridian (just a check up) .. the staff member said this was one of their internal favorites ever put out.

I commonly run one of these without PA support and full band. The true biamp and chorus on the high end only really opens up some possiblities.

Man.. you make it tough to pass this one up.

Tim

I've had mine almost 20. It's not my main amp anymore but I wouldn't hesitate to bring it out if I needed. The features on this amp where ahead of their time and it would do some modern amp manufacturers well to bring them back. The separate power amps are a great option for all kind of cabinet configurations bi-amp or not. And the chourus on this thing is to this day the best I've have ever heard.
