Peavey T-MAX Tube 500W

Sign in to disble this ad
Peavey T-MAX Bass Amp. Tube and solid state preamps.

500w at 2-ohms, 7-Band EQ plus low and high shelving, 2-channel preamp with both tube and solid state (and blendable) channels, XLR DI out, effects loop, rock solid Peavey performance.

Excellent sounding amp thanks to 2 channels and tons of EQ, tons of POWER. Missing some of the snap-on slider tips (easily replaceable), but the sliders all physically work, everything is 100% totally functional, no issues!

Does not have to specifically be racked. It has rubber feet on the bottom and can happily live outside of a rack.

$250 shipped. Shipping in use ONLY. Verified PayPal only.

what a great head. I love mine. Thought about getting rid of it, but I couldn't afford anything else for the money I could sell it for.

Thats a great price for a really good head. Same comment as Blender......in fact - mine was my first head, and it was damaged when I got it used - 2 of the pots were broken at the shafts.....I had it repaired....and have gigged it ever since......

Dependable, predictable, and works well with great tone.

Its a good buy if it is all there.....Peavey has the slider caps......call them to restore its appearance for about 12-25 bucks i believe - shipped.

Totally a good head, lots of tone possibilities, and tons of power. You can easily use it as a power amp via Effects In, which is what I did for a while while testing a SansAmp RBI (also for sale).

I assume you could go to Radio Shack or any other electronics store and get replacement slider caps. They look like standard sliders and caps to me. They just pop right on and off.

they do just pop on.....I couldn't find them anywhere but Peavey. Buys can call them and have em in a couple of days.

DI out is nice on this amp too....and it lets you go to 2 ohms if you want. You can B-Amp out of it....but will need a second power amp to do it. the EQ is really good, the preamp tube stage is nice and can be pretty warm with the right tube....and the SS pre is nice and tight.

Its a little heavy......

Its a really decent head, and that is what I paid when I got mine, and it needed work.

Good Deal!

Any interest?

I'd take trade offers as well.

* Rack preamps
* Rack multieffects
* Interesting noise maker pedals - filters, unique fuzz, pure noise makers
* Fretless bass
