First time posting on here (I'm a new member) so I hope I do this right lol
Got a wicked Peavey VB2 in mint condition (aside from a little dust). All stock tubes and already had the faulty internal fuse replaced so no worries on that. This amp usually speaks for itself and needs no introduction but here's some specs on it from musiciansfriend.com:
* 225 watts of all-tube power from six EL34 pentodes
* Clean and overdrive channels with footswitch selection
* Custom-designed, oversized power and output transformers
* Impedance selector switch for 2, 4 and 8 ohm loads to match any bass cabinet
* Two parallel speaker output jacks
* Two shielded 12AX7 dual triode preamp tubes
* Shielded, 12AT7 cathodyne phase splitter for increased power amplifier dynamics
* Ceramic tube sockets
* Inputs for passive and active basses
* Tuner send jack
* Footswitchable mute/tune switch with flashing LED indicator
* Bright switch
* Three-band active EQ with four-position mid-shift switch
* Front-mounted, series effects loop
* Resonance and Presence damping controls
* Balanced, XLR direct output with ground lift and pre/post EQ switch
Great sounding head, but all my stuff I'm doing these days is low-volume (teaching and session work) so a high-volume tube head isn't going to mix too well in those situations. I'm currently not gigging, but I'm in need of other gear right now more than this head. Looking to give this bad boy a good home!! Asking price is...
