Peavey VB-2 225 to 285 Watt All Tube Head

I've got me a pretty little Ampeg B25B which suits all of my needs and is about 10lbs lighter than my Peavey.

So up on the block is THE BEST sub $1000 All tube head you can find today.

You can check out all the specs at Peavey BUT here's the ones that mattered to me - and they just might matter to you.

Peavey VB2

225W of EL34 goodness - according to TBer BbbyBld (helped design the amp at peavey) you can rebias a set of Ruby EL34BHT for about 285W!!!

BIG IRON!!!

about 50lbs

Has a great Hiwatt vibe to it, two channels - the clean is DEEP and the OD is more of a revoicing of the amp - to a British grind.

TUBE DI!!! that's right - if you plug into the amp and take the DI pre-EQ you still run through the first tube stage - in fact you can leave the amp on standby while recording!

Made in the US! (these were supposed to be made in China but the factory didn't meet Peavey's spec - so they are making them here - which means - who knows for how long - and for this price.)

I'm the original owner and this hasn't even been gigged - just lived in a studio and now it lives in my basement.
So it's basically brand new.

Pics.

$600 Shipped in CONUS

I also have a Peavey 215 with the old Black Widow speakers that have the aluminum dust caps. I'd like to sell the cab locally since it's so HUGE! but if you want to pay shipping I'd be willing to do a package deal for $800 for the VB2 and the vintage Peavey 215 plus shipping. this would be a MONSTER rig.

No trades as I am really set for amps.

IF you have a Foxrox Octron - then I can work something out.
