Yeah, it's got 10 watts... But it put out surprisingly a lot of sound for 10 watts. I think The Perfect Bass even says something about that. For a while, I was just hooking it up to one of my PA speakers and playing like that.
You're not gonna blow your pants off with it, but it's louder than I remember 10w being. |

what's this thing sound like? | You can find a ton of threads about it over in the Amps forum. It's clean, clean, clean, with a side of clean, on a bed of fresh clean. Plus it has a good-sounding EQ and a decent compressor. I've seen posts from people who A/B'ed the PJB and the U5; some of them felt the U5 had an edge of tone "quality" or "detail" over the PJB, but not by a huge margin; a few others said they thought the PJB sounded just as good, especially in a band mix where the detail of the U5 would be inaudible. And of course the PJB is about 1/4 the size of the U5. |
