You really think the Carver is that much better than the Carvin?

I'll give you a wink.

But it is a serious question.

Don't be so serious! Yes I do!
Ask any audio-phile or Pro Sound Company that tours with huge productions if they prefer CarvER or CarvIN...

CarvER is used in and by mutlipe hi profile venues and sound companies. CarvIN is not.

Like Rich said, Carver amps are an audiophile's wet dream.

+1

I've found that here on TB, the standard affordable like QSC, Crown and Mackie gets the rave. Carver and Hafler don't get much recognition.

IMHO, it reminds me of questioning Sadowsky, LowEnd, Nordstrand, Lull and the likes

Great Poweramp.
This reminds me of a friend that had an Infiniti Q45 in 1990, from selling real estate by the age of 24. He should his grandmother his beautiful new car and she said with her Eastern European/Yiddish accent, "Ricky, dats a nice cah, I pray someday you can afford a Continetal!"

It it's not Crown/Crest/QSC, many Tbers think it's no good...
I've played through 2 racks with a total of 3 amps
Rack 1: Yamaha was nice, then Carver...
Rack 2: Carver...
Both Carver's blew anything else out of the water.... 12 pounds fro 600 watts per channel!!! Beautiful amps!
