Precision Enclosures 3-way cab (Accugroove 208 clone)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi friends,

What I have here is a 3-way cabinet made by Precision Enclosures West based on the out-of-production Accugroove 208. It has two 8" neo drivers, a 6" midrange, and two tweeters. Impedance is 4 ohms, power handling is 350 watts. Weight is just under 30 lbs.

It has 2 speakon combo jacks, but I could never get them to work with speakon cables. Maybe all the pins aren't connected? It works fine with 1/4" cables.

It's light. It's clean. It's loud. It's sitting in my closet because it's one more cab than I need right now.

$245 shipped in CONUS. Not really looking to trade, but you never know Throw some at me ... Dimensions are 17" wide x 15" deep x 23" tall

You say it's modeled after the Accugroove. Does it have the individual spkr chambers like the Accugrooves do? Hows the sound quality . . .is it as crisp/clear and uncolored as an Accugroove? How does it handle a Low B?

Yes, not completely modeled like the Accugroove as in no individual chambers. But the back plate is definitely from the production house. Very natural sounding handles the low B quite nicely..For the 2x8 1x6 two tweeter configuration sounds a bit less modern then what it's cloned after. but overall for the price it's a nice sounding ,. Just too much gas on this end.

What do you know about the 8" neo drivers? who made them and what are they rated at individually?

I love it!!!!

I gotta sell my Madison, unless you are interested in a trade for a hand built 4x10? Probably not, so I'll keep an eye out.

Curious, how would you describe the tone? Is it a mid heavy cab. What genres have you used it in?
Just asking
