2- Avatar SB112's Tolex and LineX-$400/pair

Sign in to disble this ad
I have 2 Avatar SB112 Neo cabs. One is in LineX and the other black Tolex. Even though they are "different", they look very good together, both being black, and when you are performing, nobody can tell the difference. You can click on the left hand thumbnail and it is tough to tell which is which. They are both in absolutely perfect condition. No scuffs or even slight blemishes. They have very little play time on them and each come with a padded vinyl cover from amplifiercovers.com (which I paid $49 each for.)
8 ohm each, 39 lbs. ea. 1/4" and Speakon. If you would like more pics, I can email them to you. I am located in western Washington state, near Olympia. These are spotless. $400 for the pair, local pickup. Or, $400 plus actual shipping/pair. $225 separately. These cabs are mint/perfect and would easily pass for brand new. Plus, I am throwing in good covers for each. They sound great , but I am going to a D.I. only situation from here on out.

I see you have a GK MB 500 in your sig; have you used these cabs w/the MB- and if so, how did it sound?

It sounds great. Handles a low b string without breaking a sweat. Plenty of volume for any situation. I think the Mb500 is a very good match for these cabs , because it sounds best with the Eq flat . Not very hard to dial in good tone.

Cool- thanks. I am very interested but like so many potential buyers, I'm broke at the moment- this will change in a couple of weeks, although I will not ask you to hold it that long.

These cabs are pristine-perfect. Like " right out of the box" condition.

I have read conflicting discussions on 10's and 12's. I am used to Eden 10's. In your opinion how do these 12's sound a little dirty/distorted like Geddy Lee tone?

To me, a good 12", like these Eminence Neo's has the quick response of a 10" , with the richness of a 15'. As far as dirty or distorted, I would say no. I think that comes more from the amp and/or the bass and its pickups. JMHO

Cross continent shipping would be in the neighborhood of $75-$85 per cab. UPS ground. Thats why a local sale would be better for the buyer. We commoners can't get the volume shipping deal that Avatar gets, but even at these rates , this is a far better buy than ordering new from Avatar. When the buyer opens these boxes and plugs these cabs in, you would never know they are not brand new. A west coast buyer would pay less shipping though.

May want to get a quote from fedex, may be a little cheaper. You can save a few bucks if you have them shipped "Hold for Pickup" to the nearest fedex location to it's final destination. That's the way I've been having my stuff and shipped lately. That way I do not have to make sure someone is home and the fedex store is only couple miles from my house.

I have a fedex account so I create the shipping label and send it pdf via email. I pay the face value for the cabs or whatever. In this case it would be $400.00. The seller just slaps on the shipping labels and drops off the packages at the fedex location. I get billed from fedex later for the actual shipping charges. Just a thought.

This is a smokin' good deal for someone. If I already didn't have bevy of nice cabs I'd jump on it. GL
