(Reduced!)FS/FT: Trace Elliot 1x15 combo (Super Clean!)

Sign in to disble this ad
New thread as I couldn't edit the title on the old one.
Price reduced. ($350 shipped Con. US. Last price drop before eBay)
Updated trade possibilities.

This is from when Trace Elliot was still TRACE ELLIOT (before the buyouts) and is unbelievably clean for it's age.

Got this in a trade from someone who used to play bass but had simply stored it for many years.
I believe the model is 715SM.

The head portion is a GP7SM 130 (130 RMS / 260 Peak) and has all the Trace Elliot bells and whistles:
Switchable Active/Passive input.
Variable Pre-gain with clip light.
2 switchable/defeatable pre-shape filters (a famous Trace Elliot feature).
7 band defeatable EQ with variable EQ gain control.
Switchable pre/post XLR balanced out.
Effects loop.
Variable EQ balance control (an overall tone control).
1/4" line out.
Master volume.
Switchable mute with led indicator.
Tuner out (back panel).
Voltage (US/Euro) switch (back panel).
Ground switch (back panel).

The cab portion is based on their twin ported 1x15 cab.
The caps are removable (see pix) to change the tuning of the cab:
Both caps in = Infinite Baffle
One cap out = Reflex enclosure tuned to 35hz.
Both caps out = Reflex enclosure tuned to 45hz.

The tolex has only a couple extremely minor scuffs/nicks (comes with a vinyl cover).
The inside of the amp wasn't even dusty (I check and clean all gear that comes through my hands).
This thing is built like a tank.
This thing is almost like brand new!

Although I am seriously thinking about keeping this, it is kind of redundant for me right now.
I have my MarkBass amps to keep me happy.

I'll start at $350 shipped in the Con. US.

Possible trades/partial trades (+ or - cash):
Spector basses (NS2A or better, no Legends please).
MarkBass amps.
EHX XO series "Bass Micro Synth".
3 Leaf Audio "Groove Regulator".
Tech 21 "VT Bass" or "Leeds" pedal.
EBS "DPhaser" and/or "MultiDrive".
Line 6 Relay 30 Wireless.
Yamaha "S115V" P.A. speakers.
Feel free to run anything else by me.

Thanks

Took this to the gig last night (classic rock trio) to see how it would stand up with a full band.

This thing is a big 130/260 watts.
With the input gain set at optimal level (just below clipping) I only had to run the output gain at 6 to be plenty loud enough.
We don't use PA support at this particular venue so the amp was carrying the room.
It definately sounded bigger/louder/better with both caps out as I tried all three configurations.

The amp never farted and had a surprising amount of high end with just a little Graphic EQ, Pre Shape 1 and EQ Balance set flat, even though it has no tweeter.

If I wasn't such a MarkBass freak right now I would definately keep this.

I have no way to weigh it, but I don't think it's that heavy. I remember a combo I had previously that was 54lbs that felt heavier than this. It's not light though. Nice side mounted spring handles!!!!

..but if you need your pain.
