This is for sale only, and I won't sell separate. Again, this is for sale only, and I won't sell the cabs and head separately.

I purchased this Reeves Custom 225 stack in February of 2010. It is without a doubt the best sounding amp/cabinet combination I have (we're talking Walter Woods, Mesa 400+, RH-750, fEarfuls, etc- my apologies to Greenboy, but my ear is attuned to this rig's tonal signature). I am selling it because I don't use it. Even though it sounds better than anything else in my stable, it's too big for me, and I don't have a studio to use it in either. I'll be moving to NYC in a little bit, and I won't have the space I do now for this fantastic rig. Painful to sell, because it is tone, tone, TONE. This rig has tubey three-d transparancy, clarity, and is ultra touch sensitive. Because it's a HiWatt derivative, it's a clean amp, and not really one for distortion. I never turned it up loud enough to get it to distort, frankly.

I never gigged this stack. I brought it out once to let a friend play through it at his jam at a club. It is hard to move the cabs without bumping them into something, and they are spring-loaded to tear, unfortunately. That's the nature of the beast. The cabs are heavy, as they feature 1" plywood construction. They have a lot of momentum, so just tapping them against something is enough to scuff or worse tear the tolex- that's the way it is. Thus the tolex had several nicks, but I fixed them as well as possible. You fix them by applying a heat gun to the tolex, and get the tolex and adhesive flexible. You press the tolex back into place while it's warm, and when it cools a second or two later, the nick is very hard to see because the tolex reforms to its original shape and reglues itself. It is very hard to see where the nicks were. You apply a magic marker along the seam of the former tear, and it becomes very hard to see. I took pictures of the affected areas, and you can see for yourself.

I mention the repaired nicks because I want you, the purchaser, to know exactly what condition this rig is in. I've had people misrepresent stuff they're selling, and I don't play that game. I would call the condition of the cabs very good to excellent, with the head itself mint. The head comes with a road case-I forget how much I paid for the road case, but the head will ship in it.

I am asking $2600.00 for this rig shipped, payment via paypal exclusively. Paypal protects both of us, with more protection going to the buyer. I'm a straight-shooter though, so I try to describe this and everything I sell to the gnat's ....butt. Local pickup price is significantly less because shipping and insurance are expensive on a beast such as this. I am located in Clearwater, Fl.

No trades, thank you. I have too much stuff, and simply want to sell this to a person that can better take advantage of this amazing amp. This would be someone like a pro-touring bass player with roadies, or a studio owner.

I really have to offer this with both cabs, because it would be challenging to sell the cabs by themselves. The cabs are great, but the head is the star of the show. If you provide me with a buyer for both cabs, I'll sell you the head separately, but only under that condition. Thanks for asking though.

If you were selling the head separately, I'd...well, I still couldn't swing it right now. Subscribing just to torture myself.

Torturing me to sell it- tone for days. I'm leaving home until late Jan 1st, but when I get back I'll post a video of the rig on YouTube. It's awesome, and you can get a good look on the video.

As a C225 owner myself, I can say this: it's a lot of coin to drop, no doubt. But you're buying a rig that will outlast you.

If I didn't already have one I'd be buying this right now! It's a complete beast.

"both cabs for free" bump

At least, if you were buying new, you'd spend this on the head alone.
Nice.

What would you sell the cabs for alone? I already have a Reeves 225 and was looking for some cabs to pair it with.
