There's a reason these amps are so highly regarded.

This one has a super clean bill of health and looks great. Carpet is a little dusty...but it's nothing a lint roller can't fix (seriously). Not a single bit of lettering scratched off, faceplate looks like it was made last week... not bad for a nearly 20 year old amp. Oh and there's a flash off of the pedal in the first pic, not a discoloration of the carpet...it's all that deep shade of Trace Green.

Asking ~~$750~~ $600 and shipping, but this thing is pretty light (for a tube amp)...shouldn't be too much...it cost me $25 to get it from Virginia to NY by UPS when I bought it.

Forget about a white Christmas...make it a green one!

Please keep in mind that the price is including a heavy discount for cash. Trade offers will be valued closer to what I paid for the amp, which was quite a bit more. Thanks.

FYI, I am accepting trade offers in the form of basses.

To answer a question that's come up a few times, this amp is from the 90s, during the Essex era. The V600H = V for valve, h for hybrid, and 600 for that many watts. They are based around the legendary V-Type preamp that is so sought after. In fact, it IS a V-Type preamp with a specially designed power section that allows pre and post eq, giving you quite different grind characteristics if you desire. Basically, the with the switch on pre eq and the gain up, it sounds like an overdriven Orange, while with the post eq engaged, it's very SVT. Quite an excellent array of tones.

Check out the 2nd page, the buyer writes the whole story from start to finish. Basically, I ended up selling a very special bass for a lot less than originally asking. Moral of the story: I think that I'm reasonable and am willing to work with people to get a deal done!
