For Sale: Crest V1100 poweramp

Crest V1100 poweramp in 3 space Pro-Tec rack bag. 550 watts per side @ 4 ohms stereo or 1100 watts @ 8 ohms bridged mono. Includes owner's manual, one 5 way binding post to 1/4" and two 5 way binding post to Neutrik Speakon speaker cables. The Pro-Tec rack bag has a zip pouch to put all the cables in. This amp has hardly been used, is in excellent shape and is in perfect working order. The Crest V1100 won "top tone" award in a Bass Player Magazine bass poweramp shootout a number of years ago. $275. "Greater" Washington, DC local sale preferred. In theory, yes ... I tried hooking it up 4 ohms bridged one time and it sounded quite good and had an unbelievable amount of headroom. However, it caused it to run hotter than normal and the fan kicked in really loud ... much louder than I'd ever heard it @ 8 ohms bridged or 4 ohms stereo so I never tried it again in fear of long term reliability issues.
