I purchased this pre in October 2008 and have only used it during personal in-home practice. After much deliberation/comparison, I finally decided it does not do what I really want, so It was put back into it's original box in May 2009.
Functions perfectly and cosmetically it is 9.5/10. The face is clean other than scratches around the rack holes and there's also one light scratch/marr on the bottom. No marks go through the finish. I have no pics at this time.
This pre puts forth a very clean (yet not sterile), heavy tone. Though you can tweak it to be quite warm, the mid controls can really cut--(Disclaimer) I've not had it in a live setting though. IMO, it excels at rock/metal of the 80s, 90s & today; and though I don't play jazz, I believe it could do that quite well too.
