For Sale Vintage Sunn 200S cab with mint JBL K140's

i know that i'm going to regret this but i need to make some room in my amp locker. selling my late 60's Sunn 200S cabinet with two JBL K140 speakers. i completely restored this cabinet 6 years ago with new OEM tolex, OEM grill cloth, an OEM handle and OEM corners. i had the K140's reconed by a factory authorized JBL service center so they work as new. as some of you might know, these are AWESOME sounding (and very LOUD) cabs and handle 300-400 watts easily. i've run up to 700 watts thru some of my other 215 K140 cabs with no problems but never pushed this one that hard (i previously ran it with a 200S and occasionally with my 2000S).

the pics below were taken while i was restoring it and it has been stored indoors ever since, and has never been gigged with so it's in the same condition as in the photos. i'm asking $1K, $900 $800 for it.










the Sunn 190B (pictured) is not included in this sale.
local pickup is preferred, although i am willing to box, pack and ship it, but it will be expensive since it's so large and heavy.

IMO, these are some of the best sounding cabs ever made, including anything made today.

unfortunately, even if you wanted it Rod, it might cost a small fortune to ship it to you, although i have used shipto for large international package shipments and their prices are reasonable. they use fedex, and charge about 1/3 of what fedex normally charges, but the dang thing won't fit in my car so i don't know how i'd get it over to them.

iJazz - With all respect to Jimmy, once you've had a JBL loaded Sunn, Ampeg is somewhere in your mirror and fading fast.

If you want "old school" tone from a cab that can handle quite a few of the new higher power heads out there today or any tube head, this is the cab to own! It's in perfect condition with reconed speakers, can't get any better than that!

i have three other dual K140 cabs (and an acoustic 408 415 cab with two K140's and two K130's in it), and i don't have the 190B or 200S anymore so i thought someone else would be thrilled to play thru one of these..
