Schroeder 1515 (2X15 68lbs!)

I have since traded this to a music store. This thread is closed.

I have this cab:

Schroeder "Superior Sound" Cabinets

Here is a pic from last nights practice:

This cab has made the rounds here on the TB classifieds. I think I'm the 3rd owner but that's just a guess. I was without a band for over a year and I got the lightweight cab bug. I didn't want a standard 4x10 or 1x15 because I hated how guitar 4x12's dwarfed single bass cabs. This 2x15 is 32" high so it looks good next to a guitar half-stack. Since I had no steady gig, I imagined I would be playing a bunch of one-off jams and a few auditions and I would get tired of carrying my big rig all of the time. Did I mentioned this cabs is only 68lbs!!!

Some claim that these are mid-heavy cabs with a light bottom-end. I tend to agree but I don't see it as a negative. I play in metal bands and the mids help me cut and I can boost the low eq on my head if I need more bass.

I ended up not doing as much jamming as I had expected. Some friends of mine were putting a band together and I sort of just walked into the bass role. One of the guitarists plays bass in another band and he has an SVT rig at our practice space he lets me use. So seeing as how I will not be moving my rig a lot and that I have unlimited use of the "king-of-all-rigs" this Schroeder is burning a hole in my pocket.

The cab has a few scratches. The most noticeable scratch is on the logo plate on the front. The cab has one of those heavy duty spray on finishes and it has some scuffs as well. I would prefer local pickup (in the Baltimore area). If you're really interested but can't pick it up just message me and maybe we can work something out.

I will also consider all types of trades.

I am asking $600.00 for the cab (pickup price).

Thanks for looking!

Bump for a great cab. I think I might be among its former Daddy's too. The 1515 is not light in the bass, it's just heavy in the "sub mids" and upper bass. This sucker can carry an outdoor show without PA help. I'm so tempted. It's so lightweight. But I have too much of the right gear now to go for it. Somebody please buy this...

It really is a cool cab but in a world where you don't have any money and you want more stuff you have to sell some gear.
