SF Bay Area: Bergantino AE212, $800

Hi Folks,

CLIFF NOTES:
For sale is my Bergantino AE212 cabinet. It's in excellent condition and comes with an OEM cover in equally good condition. Price is $800 firm, cash, pickup/meet locally in SF Bay Area.

Serial Number: 212A0140 (also visible in the last pic, below).

THE SKINNY:
I'm the original/sole owner of this cab. It (and the cover) was bought new @ Gelb Music in Redwood City, CA, late last year. It has been on three gigs, never been pushed hard, and other than a recent A/B comparison back at Gelb, it has not left the house, or even been used. While it's obviously not brand new, I think this is about as close as you can get. While I'm being so obvious

- it's worth noting that this cab is no longer being made.

The only reason I'm selling it is that I ultimately prefer the modular flexibility of 112 cabs. Most of my gigs these days only call for a single 112, and I've found it's easier to just add a second on the louder ones.

When this model hit the market it was touted equally for the great sound as well as the light weight. With good reason. It really does sound amazing, and it will not break your back during load-in/out. If you haven't heard one, I'll share a couple of sound clips below, but I definitely encourage a brief YouTube search.

Local SF Bay Area sale only - no shipping. You're welcome to come hear the cab - through my rig or yours - to decide if it and the cover are worth a trade for eight Benjamins. Price is firm @ $800, cash only.

Quick check-in....thanks for all the PM's thus far. Connecting some of the dots:

- I'm on the north end of the peninsula, between SF proper and SFO. Obviously I'd love for you to come by my place and trade the cab for cash. At that, you are welcome to bring your bass, amp, and speaker cable to take it for a test drive. (I can provide a Speakon-Speakon for the test drive, if needed.) Otherwise, assuming you're familiar with the cab, like the sound, know it'll work with your gear (meaning, no, "Wait, this is a 4-ohm cab, and it won't take a banana plug?"), and are committed to purchasing, I'll be happy to meet somewhere in-between in the general bay area for the cab-cash swap.

- No trades. Unless.

One of the things I will likely do with the proceeds from this sale is hunt down two more Berg 112 cabs...HT112ER or EX112ER. So, if you have one (or two) of each, in excellent condition, by all means, let's talk. Still local only, as I'd selfishly want to inspect and connect the 112 cab(s). Just to confirm...I'm only talking about the most recent discontinued models. Recessed handle on the left side, covered in carpet. The reason I didn't list such a trade in this posting is because I thought I had a solid lead on two NOS EX cabs...which just today became...ummm...unsolid. Wah, wah.

I bought a bass from VroomVroom last week, and he was the nicest guy! I went over to his house, tried it out, fell in love and took it home. And the bass was in even better shape than he described it. he showed me his Berg too, and it was nice and minty.

FWIW, I've noticed a coupla' more of these for sale recently. If anyone in the bay area is price shopping, I think I'm offering a great deal on a very lghtly used cab w/ OEM cover. Come one, come all.
