SOLD ! AMPEG SVT7 Pro Bass Amp 1000 watts (4 ohms) $550

I am selling my AMPEG SVT7 PRO bass amp head. This is the amp that is combines the classic SVT sound with the lightweight and dependable Class D 1000 watts (4 ohms). I have had this amp for 2 months and used it on a couple of gigs. It is ABSOLUTELY in BRAND NEW condition. NO scratches, marks, etc. I have ALL packaging that came with it. I used it with a jazz big band and it just isn't MY sound. Universally, bass players give this amp rave reviews, but I play a different style of music. List for the amp is $1000 and the Street price for this amp is around $800, so save some money ! Here is the web site link . http://www.ampeg.com/products/pro/svt7pro/index.html

(This is a re-list. I thought that I had it sold locally, but the A******* never showed and didn't return my calls.) I lowered my price and would entertain a trade plus cash for a LINE 6 G50 wireless that I have had my eye on.

Interesting...
I have a G50 I might be willing to sell AND I kinda want one of these.
Do they really sound close to an SVT classic?

sound of SVT amps

I have never played through an AMPEG SVT so can not give a good response. I have read MANY threads about the sound of the SVT7 PRO and fellow bassists are saying that it captures the vibe of the SVT. It has 1 tube in the preamp and I believe that the OLD SVT has more tubes in the preamp section. You might check out some threads about the SVT7 PRO to get actual user's comments.

It does have a warm thick sound but just wasn't MY sound. I have EDEN equipment (actually 4 EDEN amps) and thought I could capture that sound with more power. However, they are totally different animals.

I'd send you a PM but, I can't figure out how to do it in this new version of the app.
