Stewart World 1.6 Power Amp -- PRICE DROP plus added bonus!

Sign in to disble this ad
Stewart World 1.6 for sale.

Fully functional with a few purely cosmetic dings and scratches.

Edited to correct specs: I originally posted the specs for the current version of the Stewart 1.6, but this one is actually the older version that puts out 1400 watts bridged at 4 ohms, or 700 watts per side at 2 ohms. If I have the facts straight, the newer version puts out a little more power bridged but cannot do 2 ohms.

Here is the thread from when I bought the amp here on TB: FS: Stewart World 1.6 PowerAmp in 4-space Rack Bag

Price drop to $350 shipped to lower 48. I will throw in as a special added bonus the 4 space rack bag described in the link. I will also throw in your choice of a good quality speaker cable -- either binding post to speakon or binding post to 1/4", whichever you prefer.

Here are a few pics -- I can provide more on request. BTW, the preamp in the pics is NOT for sale.

I have an Alembic F1-X feeding a Stewart World 1.6 power amp. Great tone and this one is priced very well. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks for the comments. I agree the F-1X into the Stewart works great. I mainly use that preamp for recording these days, though, so I don't really need the power amp. That's the only reason it's up for sale. I'd love somebody here on TB to snag it, but looks like it may have to be Ebay . . . .

Does it get hot when bridged into 4 ohms?

Any trades considered?

Bump for a great amp! I have one myself paired with a SWR Grand Prix and love it. Got it off a fellow Talk Basser and have had absolutely no issues with it. Never really had it get hot in any situation and that includes bridging down to 4 ohms.

Best of luck on the sale.

Thanks the responses. I've never noticed any heat issues with it bridged into 4 ohms, but I can't say that I've paid that close attention to the temperature. It works fine. Anyway, the amp is still for sale, mainly b/c I've too busy to put up an Ebay ad. I'm not looking for any particular trades, but feel free to propose something.

Ran mine with a Grand Prix as well, bridged into an Aggie Gs410. Mine actually ran cool...and the power...intoxicating.
