Sunn 1200S FS/FT-$550

For sale or trade is my Sunn 1200S. This is the more recent Fender version, not the all-tube beast of yore. It's in good shape-there's some mild rack rash on the top, and there's an extra hole in the left rack ear, but it's fully functional.

As for power, it's rated at 1200W at 2 ohms-we had this hooked up to a Berg NV610/215 at the last Bowlus Borg, and it was stupid loud, and sounded awesome. If you play in a band with overzealous guitarists, this is your head. It has a big, warm, full sound, but not too colored. The tube preamp can add plenty of grit and grind, if that's your thing.

More specs can be found here.

I don't have the footswitch. I'm selling because I don't need a head this powerful, and would rather have something smaller.

Sale price=$550 plus shipping, and I can throw in a new Grundorf Mighty Light deep 4-space rack for $625 plus shipping. USPS money order or Paypal are preferred.

Trades-Smaller heads, especially Trace or Eden (hey, it's worth a shot. ) No Ampeg. Run others by me.

Bump.

Something I forgot to mention is that you can run 4 8-ohm cabs off of this sucker, if you play gigs big enough to merit that kind of cabinet-age.

For trades, I need something that can do ~250W at 8 ohms, minimum.

Man..... when I played this thing when it came out and I almost dropped the almost 1000 dollars these things cost new.

Tone. This amp has it. You can dial up just about anything on it. If I were playing out still this amp would already have a new home.

Fender did their homework on these amps and it shows.

Free Bump for a tone machine with a V8 under the hood.

I played this at the Second Bowlus GTG, and it was HUGE sounding through the single Bag End 15 that Daion had. Man, I'd love to get one of these!

I'll think about it-I've got one amp that I'm discussing for a trade already, but if that doesn't work out, the SWR is a possibility.

I'll give this until 10PM EST tomorrow, and if nothing comes up, I'll hold on to it, as I have a lead on a cab that can handle the power.
