SWR 350 redface head + SKB 4 space rack case $350 shipped

Sign in to disble this ad
For sale: SWR Bass 350 redface bass head.

Comes installed in a 4 space SKB shallow rack. Amp and rack have to be sold together. I have the front and rear covers for the rack case as well.

Amp: electrically perfect, no issues whatsoever. The cosmetics are about a 9 out of 10. See pictures. There is a scrape mark on the front near the on/off and fan switches. The bottom of the case has a few scratches from being in and out of a couple of racks and I was using it for gigs for a couple of years before I had a rack case for it.

Rack case: Has some marks on the front cover and some scratches. I bought this rack case used (on www.talkbass.com) and a previous owner cut a small notch into the rear of the case that has no effect on its integrity. It was used when I bought it 5 or 6 years ago and I've taken it to a lot of gigs since then. See pictures.

If this is so great why am I selling it?: Because it was my backup amp for the last 7 or 8 years and I've recently acquired a new backup that I like even better.

$350 SHIPPED, I'll pay the UPS shipping in lower 48 states. I'll take PayPal but ONLY if you have a confirmed address with PayPal. If not, has to be check or MO.

+ 1 To me the Redheads are the best SWR put out.

Bump

Not having much luck selling this little amp --

I'm willing to keep the rack case if that's what is holding up a sale (it's not like I'm in any all-fired up hurry to sell this, having first listed it here on August 30).

Amp and rack case together = $350 shipped.

AMP ONLY = $300 shipped.

Price is firm, shipped UPS insured to lower 48 states (or if you're local to Knoxville TN, come over and play it and pick it up).

I don't know the exact age. It's the original red face SWR that everyone on here raves about as the "real" SWR sound. I bought it used in 2000 or 2001.

350 watts out @4 ohms.

Bump. I have one of these. This is a terrific reliable head for electric or upright. Nice pre, and flexible EQ/IO. $300 is a steal, IMHO. You can use this with the built-in tube pre or any pre of your choice. As Chef noted, it handles 2 ohms. Somebody grab this!

Hi --

Apologies to the above -- my life got out of hand and I have not been on here in a while. I'm now back (Jan 25) and this SWR amp remains unsold and still available.
