SWR Baby Blue II possible sale feeler thread.

Sign in to disble this ad
price drop-500$ shipped

Perfect condition, comes with SWR cover. Its the model with 10" speaker and tweeter.
I have no idea what these are going for these days...selling because I need to move more air and found a great deal on a bigger amp.
No trades at this time.
I'm in Canada and will ship Canada post priority, 5 days shipping with insurance and tracking.
500$ shipped and paypaled.
Amp has barely been used and has manual and SWR catologue.
The manual is dated 05/02 and it comes with a 2003 product guide.
Cheers.

Do you really need a picture? Lots of pics on the web. For some reason...I have trouble with TB and picture

Is this a Baby baby blue?

Hi there.
SWR really made things complicated when they made a combo with a single 10" speaker called the "Baby baby blue". Originally they produced a 2 x 8" with 5" midrange combo called the "Baby Blue" or "Baby Blue II" that is now discontinued.
Which one do you have?

Same amp as BBII, the Baby Baby Blue came with the 10" instead of two 8's.

This is starting to feel a bit like a Twilight Zone episode.
I clearly state in my original post that it is a baby blue II with 10" and tweeter....not sure why you are all having so much trouble accepting this.
The picture I linked is THE IDENTICAL AMP TO WHICH I AM SELLING.
If you feel you really need another picture of my actual amp for sale which will be exactly like the one in the link only lower quality....well I guess you probably wouldn't want this amp due to the very complex array of knobs.

My appologies

My apologies as well for the derailment.
I believe SWR now calls that same amp the Baby Baby Blue (no typo there). I also absolutely believe that yours is labeled as it is. The original and long out of production Baby Blue amps had what I think is the exact same amplifier section in a 2 x 8" cab. I think that's why we're confused. It's probably a unit that was made during the transition from one model to the other- I've owned SWR stuff like that before.
For what it's worth the amplifier and preamp sections on these are world-reknowned for being great recording amps- that's why I was looking at this thread myself.
These are great combos. Good luck with the sale. I'm sure this will make someone very happy.

I have the other one, from early 1990s, with 2x8 + 5" cone tweeter. It's 100watts @ 8ohms, 160 at 4 ohms (according to the manual, yours is 120 @8 ohms, 160 @ 4ohms). On mine, the two 8" are Celestion and the 5" tweeter is a Bag End. The speaker grill is different as well, mine is black, rhomboid pattern; and it says "SWR ENGINEERING BABY BLUE II" in blue letters on the front, right below the head. In any case, probably yours sound as good as mine, and I think I wouldn't sell mine unless I reeeeally need the money (this thing has been putting food on my table for over a decade). But that's me.
Best luck with the sale!

Hee Hee..my feathers aren't ruffled...just funny how folks keep wondering what the amp is when I posted a picture of my exact exact amp, way better than any pic I could take.
The manual clearly states may 2002.
