The myth, the legend, the beast:
1999 SWR Henry 8x8.
Eight 8" drivers, one (new) LeSon tweeter, rated for 480 watts at 4 ohms-though it will eat much more than that. I've pushed 1100 bridged watts of WT800B thru it, and it loved it!
The 8" drivers are fast and articulate, each pair in it's own box inside the cab, which is tuned down to 37hz: a deep sounding cab, for sure! The LeSon tweeter and attenuator let you dial in how much top end sheen you want: nice!
The added handicap rail on the back makes tipping it onto the rear mounted wheels easier, and it's stout enough to pull it onto or off stage with.
The dog hairs come at no additional charge, and I'll be glad to remove them with some masking tape before you pick it up if you like
You can read several reviews, including the one below at the bgra archives: http://www.bgra.net/2004/browse.php?...ir=down&char=s
"This is, hands-down, the finest bass cabinet I've ever owned. I've had nearly every conceivable speaker variation in bass cabinets made in my search for a sound I can count on from venue to venue. Well built, studio-accurate sound. I've read a lot of reviews and talked to others about cabs for all time...this cabinet works for me. Plenty of bass (I'm talking stage bass), it's right there. In those all concrete and linoleum venues the sound can get tight, but a tweak on the parametric EQ and all is well. When playing on a carpet-covered wood stage in a small club, this cab is incredible! Huge bass, right there! Don't have to be 20-40-ft. out there to have the bass wave develop. Out front is a clean, driving tone that cuts through. I recommend you have good power (for any bass system) for appropriate headroom. This cab will reward your efforts. ''

I've had a bunch of pm's for shipping quotes, so, here's the deal on that:
I don't have shipping materials, so it's a UPS Store thing. They quoted me $40 to box it, based on dimensions and weight. The shipping quotes they gave me for various zip codes last time I tried this ran around $80 additional. However, the only way to know, for sure, what it's gonna cost, is for me to take it down there, have them box it up, and see what final weight and dimension turn out to be. Plan on around $120 for it to get shipped anywhere. Might be less, though I doubt it. Might be more.
The cab weighs ~105lbs, but I have naught but a fishing scale in my home, so I can't say that for sure. The SWR website says 100, the handicap rail might add 5 or so. Believe it or not, it's actually pretty dang easy to move with the added grab rail and kick back wheels.
I don't know if it's pre-fender, but I'll be glad to pm the serial number if that would be helpful to anyone.
If any of you that have asked for shipping quotes aren't put off by the above numbers, feel free to get back in touch!

This is a GREAT cabinet. I got one after seeing Clatter(Amy) live in Houston.
The chrome grill and Speakon connector indicate it is a newer version.
