SWR Henry The 8x8 - SoCal Only.

Trying this again...

Band broke up, now don't have use for this great cab. (don't worry, I have enough other cabs to get me by... )

Cab is in very good condition. Speakers work 100%. This thing gets LOUD and MEAN! Definitely has that SWR growl to it. Don't let the 8's fool you - this cab will go down LOW.

Due to the size, this is for pick up only - sorry, will not ship.

It's about 100 pounds. Handles 480 watts, and is a 4 ohm cab.

Has a control in back for the tweeter as well. And wheels to help move it. Actually, it moves pretty easily as it's smaller than an 8x10, but you still get the benefit of loading it into the back of an SUV by leaning and tilting it in.

Looking for $450 cash, or trade for ??? Run it by me, you never know! (just make sure it's a fair value trade, or be willing to throw in cash to make it up. actually, willing to trade UP for the right piece too, so *I* can add cash to make a deal work for something more expensive!)

Will add pics when I find them!

Note: This is a Pre-Fender cab, which means it has the better tweeter and drivers than SWR is currently putting in these cabs!

Bump it up! I have one of these: I play in a reggae outfit and it's a booty motivator.

Very punchy, sweet-sounding cab.

Depends on the model / options I guess. Either way would require a little cash to go along with the trade.

Another option is to buy the Aguilar 2x12 from the other guy in LA for $350, and trade me that straight up for the Henry!

Hmmm. You using a lot of very lows? Biamp and send the low-lows to the 18. Everything above 150 Hz send to the Henry! You'd kill 'em. Just thinking...

Well, the Henry cab is 4 ohms, and goes down to like 37hz... let me get the writeup on it:

"Another first-of-its-kind SWR innovation, this array of smaller speakers delivers articulate sound and knockout punch for the bassist who needs to cut through at high stage volumes. And it’s not just great for midrange, either – it achieves frequency response superior to just about anything on the market (-6dB at 37Hz!) through a unique triple-front-ported cabinet design. Road-ready and easily transportable due to its tilt-back design, the Henry the 8x8 has made true believers out of those who own one – and now swear by it.

Features: 8x8 enclosure, 480 watts handling, custom SWR speakers, tweeter with attenuator, Speakon and 1/4” speaker jacks, heavy duty casters, top (inset) & side (spring-loaded) handles, vibration-free shock-mounted chrome grill, triple-front-ported design. Impedance: 4 ohms."

You really don't need to pair this cab with anything!

Just to add, I'm playing in a reggae band with mine and don't use anything else. I did happen to read a BGRA.net review and a guy mentioned that the cab is light on lows. I do not have that problem- maybe it's an EQ issue. As some know there are many who misunderstand EQ... anyway I just thought that you could add a single-18 if you had one, as one poster sort of mentioned an 18. I don't really believe it's necessary.

Someone should nail this cab.

Saturbump

I have no interest in this sale. I just happen to be sitting here and noticed this ad is still up... so...

I realize that "light and portable" is the move of the hour, but after the dust settles and all is said and done, this cab will remain standing in the "Most Preferred" section. This here fellow is willing to walk away from his, creating an opportunity to nail a slick, tidy and very punchy cab. Must be a good reason for it, I guess!

If you don't do it and discover later what you've missed, don't come looking for mine...

Another owner here - and I can't agree more. Light and portable are the flavor of the day - and for what these bring to the party they are light and portable. Forget they are 8's, this thing has bottom to it, and just like we all like - nice and tight!

quit playing and pick this up!

great - very punchy. the traynor is pretty mid heavy, but with the cab can make it sound nice and round if i need to, or have the nice upper mid range snap as well.

I am playing a svt-vr through it at the moment, and loving every minute of it.

Is the cab still for sale? Have been kicking myself since I sold mine about a year and a half ago.
