SWR Mini Mo' preamp Mo' Control2 + more!

Sign in to disble this ad
For sale SWR Mini Mo’ bass preamp, with Mini Mo’ Control2, 2 connection cables (one black, beige) and heavy duty expression pedal with stereo cord for the expression pedal. Everything is in good condition and good working order except for one minor issue. The cable for the controller must not be screwed in to the preamp (The cable is a VGA extension type). So long as the cable is not screwed in to the preamp the pedal works flawlessly. I know it’s a little quirky but it works. This is a great preamp and the effects rival any high end pedals on the market! It’s super flexible in terms of ins and outs, but right now I’m trying to cut down. I’m asking $520 shipped. I will try to put in pictures soon. Thanks!

EDIT: last price drop! $450 without the case, $475 with the case!

"it must not be screwed into the preamp?"
I don't understand that. do you mean that you don't plug the cale in?

Have you tried with a different VGA cable? It sounds like there is something miswired or broken somewhere and when you screw the cable in, it's causing a short circuit.

To answer your questions, the Mo' Control is connected via a VGA cable. You connect the cable in the back of the preamp where there are threaded inserts (like you would see in back of a VGA computer monitor). You can connect the cable without screwing it in to the threaded inserts but I found that when I screwed in the cables into the inserts the pedal wouldn't function properly. And yes I did try to replace the cable (this is why there are two). But like I said before you can connect the cable without screwing it in the inserts and it works flawlessly.

Okay so I'm lowering the price to $520 and I'm adding a three space SKB case that fits the preamp perfectly. So in all you get the expression pedal and cord plus the SKB case.I haven't mentioned this before but I also have the manual.
