Thanks, I thought it was a good deal at $500 but after a week no offers. I'll give it a few days at this price after that I will probably just keep it as a back up.

Did you notice any improvement when you upgraded the preamp tube?

Ive changed the tube to a few different brands in my SM400. It never sounds amazingly different, but there are subtle "character" differences.

For those that dont realize, this amp retails for 1400 bucks. Musicgoround.com has one listed for 650 + shipping... Read the specs, this amp does a lot.

Yes, any difference in tone from the tube change was small enough that I didnt notice but Im not particularity picking with mine tone.

I thought for sure this would be a quick sale which is why I have priced it so low. Id like to pick a few more pieces of gear up to finish my rig,

Bump for a great amp. I've had the same one for over ten years and have had no problems with it at all. This guy is really taking a loss with this price. These amps are top notch and worth way more.

Trade bait again - Ive got gas for a 4 or 5 string active Jazz bass.
Only interested in P basses with maple fingerboards.
Also still need a DBX 160 or 166, I'd take one plus cash.
And a Furman Power condition plus cash
