This TC Electronic amp, similar to the TC RH450 with less features and touted as having a "classic" amp voice, is in excellent shape and fully functional. I've been using this head for about two years and am the first owner, and it has seen many a gig without a single complaint. Its vintage voice was one of my big attractions to it. In the time since I have owned it I have fallen in love with TC Electronic--everything they do works like it ought to and sounds incredible. However I now favor an Aguilar TH500 and no longer need this head.
The EQ is four controls (low, low mid, high mid, high) with a vintage voice, and there is also a SpectraComp feature which is a smart compressor that I found most useful at low-to-medium settings. The Tube Tone is a really cool aggressive-sounding effect that makes me think of bands like MGMT where that guy gets an angry sound out of his Rickenbacker. It's not dead on for an overdriven tube head but it's a surprisingly good mimic and for some things I feel it is a little easier to dial in than a tube head. The preamp can be sent to the DI out or bypassed as needed. There's also a mute function (mutes DI and output simultaneously IIRC).
It is in excellent condition and comes with a TC Electronic gig bag which is in good condition but has some wear and tear (a little bit of the exterior pocket fabric is dirty or frayed, it is still a great way to carry the amp around though as the main compartments, zippers and straps are all just fine). This bag is really useful for keeping all of your cables, strings, tuners, picks, so forth together as well as making it easier to lug your amp around when you load into a venue or studio. I sling it over my back and pickup up my fEarful 15/6 at the same time. The amp is fully working and sounds wonderful. I believe it is supposed to be 450W at 4 ohm and 250W at 8 ohm but I can't find the 8 ohm specs anywhere. I have never had to push the master over 6 or 7 in the loudest environments I have played (e.g. a stupid loud 5-piece guitar driven rock band). PRICE: $350 shipped CONUS.
