Thunderchild 115 compact -- Fiberglass Composite -- near mint 2 Attachment(s) For sale only by original owner: Thunderchild 115 (TC115) compact made in fiberglass composite by Mike Arnopol. 4ohms with two Speak-on jacks, and an off-on switch for the horn. Non-AF (acoustic friendly) version. Includes custom leather cover and four port plugs. Speaker grille is an elegant model from Penn Elcom that has small round holes instead of the grille with square holes usually shipped with Thunderchildren. Dimensions: 25.75" tall x 17.75" wide x 15.50" deep. Weight: 34.08 pounds. Includes 17 months left of a 2-year warranty from Mike Arnopol. I suspended the original sale due to a buzzing noise discovered when I took it out of storage. Mike discovered it was caused by a loose component in the crossover. Mike fixed it and the cab and cover are currently in his possession; he will package and ship direct to the buyer. I have the four port plugs and will ship those to the buyer. Price is $850 shipped CONUS. PayPal preferred. Thank you for looking. |

FYI Mike Arnopol has announced on the greenboy forum that he is no longer building composite cabs due to health concerns with their production. Therefore, this one for sale is a great opportunity to buy one while you still can. |
Bump... great cab, great TBer/seller. Fantastic, hammering cab for those looking for a 'studio monitor' experience on stage. Once FYI correction to the description in the OP... the switch on the back of the cab is not a horn 'on/off' switch, but rather a very nice, gentle treble roll-off switch that softens the upper treble... kind of an 'old school switch'. This cab will do '410-like' volume with a 500 watt into 4ohm micro amp, and hammers hard down low. VERY clean, very precise, and the top end is WAY more organic and natural than you would think would come from that big PA-like horn. |

What is the weight? also what is the difference between the composite and wood cab? |
The weight of this composite cab is exactly 34.08 pounds without the cover or port plugs. I weighed it on the FedEx shipper's scale when I sent it to Mike. I'm not sure what the wooden version weighs. That would depend on the type of wood and its thickness. Perhaps someone familiar with those metrics could chime in. |
