I bought this new a few months back just to try out some Trace stuff. I never use it, so it just sits in my rehearsal space. This is the 7 band, 1x15 200 watt combo, not to be confused with the 715x, which can run an external speaker. This model runs an internal speaker only at 4 ohm.
Zzounds says this:
Trace Elliot 715 is a 200W bass combo amp with a 15 inch Celestion, high-frequency tweeter, and 7-band graphic EQ to fine tune your sound with ease. Highly efficient output stage uses MOSFET technology. Footswitchable features include Pre Shape; graphic EQ; compressor with self-adjusting, program-dependent attack/release times; and an output mute. Cab is tuned to 42Hz with an unobstructed bottom slot for tight response.
It is common knowledge that some of these combos had a weird buzz and were pretty noisy. Apparently the amp section was put together in a couple different places. At one of the places, they neglected to put in a small resistor, which resulted in the weird CB radio sounding buzz when not playing. Many people returned them or just lived with the buzz thinking they were crap. All you had to do was contact Peavey, and Peavey for free would send you a tiny resistor with instructions on where to solder it to solve the problem. I did so, and it took about 15 minutes to fix it.
Anyway it's a very loud and nice sounding/looking combo amp. It is in mint condition with not a mark on it, and comes with the cover, footswitch that has never been taken out of the box, and its original box. I think it weighs around 40-45 lbs. I can one-arm it quite easily.
I'd like to get $385 CONUS for it.
I'll put some pics up, but it looks just like the model attached.
