Trace Elliot AH350SMX & Schroeder 1210L

Sign in to disble this ad
Trace Elliot AH350SMX. Loud Loud Loud. Older pre-gibson model, AFAIK. This thing is a work horse. I have yet to play a show where I can turn the master vol. above 3. 12 band graphic eq. Valve hybrid Preamp. Sounds awesome. Removed from the original housing and placed in a 4 space Genz Benz Rack. Better for on the road stuff protection wise. has cosmetic scratches, but nothing terrible. Everything works beautifully on the head. Does not have a black light bulb currently. Ballists are there for it, just never put one in once I got it. Love the head, just itching to try some new stuff. $400 (would prefer local pickup, willing to drive part way for delivery) or + Shipping.

Schroeder 1210L. TRADED!!!! Only about a year to year and a half old. Light cab. Amazingly loud. I love walking in and putting this in front of another bands 810 and blowing it's doors off. 700 watts @ 4 ohms on this one. Carpet in great condition. Comes with a 210 size road case. $650 (would prefer local pickup, willing to drive part way for delivery) or + Shipping. would consider trading the cab for the right 410. Eden, Aguilar, Schroder. +/- cash can be arranged. would like to keep any trades local though.

Hey man, saw the ad on CL. Depending on how this week's car repair goes, I would love to check that head out. I am a little nervous about 350 watts, but I love the sound.

cool...ya, just let me know.

nervous as in, not enough? or too much? believe me, this thing is significantly conservatively rated power wise. I used to have an Ampeg SVT350H....it was a dog of an amp. Grossly underpowered. Always had the thing cranked and never could get enough out of it. I'm am seriously not joking when I say that I have yet to play a show, outdoors, or indoors, where I have been able to turn this up past 3 on the master.

Yeah nervous about power. I've played through a 350H too, and I think it's one of the worst amps I've ever used. My current (and poorly functioning) Carvin head runs around 500 at 8 ohms, and it really doesn't do well, when it's 4 through both cabs, it's pretty sweet. For all of the experienced proponents of not needing tons of watts here on the board, my experience says otherwise. Definitely willing to try it out though. I love the sound of the Trace stuff, but I need some serious overhead to get a clean solid low B country sound when it's required.

I hear ya. ya, come check it out. I've never had a problem with my low B for country with this head.

hey Celeb....I own this amp and two trace cabs. I have never had to turn up past 5....and that was at an outdoor gig. These amps are absolutely crushing for the rated wattage. This thing will KILL most 500 to 700 watt rated amps. Ill never sell mine! Just my 2 Cents.

Bump for the Trace head.

I played the 7-band version of this head as a 210 combo for a number of years in a loud funk rock band. With an extension 210 and a 5 string, I was never wanting for power or volume. Never had the gain and master past 5 either (even outdoors ) . Great cutting tone!!!!

Bump...

sorry I wasn't able to make it out last night, my writing appointment was late starting and went longer than anticipated. I'm gonna try to make it out Saturday to Matty's Alley.

Man I'd love to take that sweeeeeeeet Trace head off your hands. I owned the same exact model for 15+ years, very reliable, VERY loud. These guys aren't kidding, this thing volume-wise blew the doors off my Markbass LMII volume wise, and the LMII is not at all shabby on power itself.

Man it sucks that I have to insure and tag my new van this month. I'm gonna keep and eye on this thread for sure.......

I just gotta say... I love the lakland in your profile pic.

keep an eye on it and let me know. the head rocks. and you can see where the master is at 1.5. That's where I had it for my last show for a room that fit about 150 people and it was still almost too loud. This is the only head I've ever owned that I have said is "ridiculously overpowered". I love it. But alas, gas has me and I'm itching for something different.

PS. the power conditioner is not included in this sale.

Thanks man, I had to rocknroll it up some-it was pretty square. Meanwhile my car is going into the shop tonight, but I also got my carvin head working again, so I am probably out of this race for the time being. I would freakin' love to jump on the Trace wagon, but my expenses are pretty high if I am not in desperate need.

no worries. I hear ya on that. if you ever wanna test drive it, just let me know.

saw on your myspace, you're friends with Chris Kimmerer and Marc Scibilia. Do you do much work with them? I did a show with Chris a while back. Great drummer. I also almost did some tracks for Marc. A friend of mine, Anthony Porchedue (think I spelled that right), was producing some tracks a long while back and had called me to come lay some stuff down. It didn't work out at the time for me to do it unfortunately. Small world it is. Anyways, best wishes on getting the car fixed. Sorry I wasn't able to make it out to either show last week. I'm gonna put the 29th on my calender and try to make it out. I'm playing at the Rutledge on the 30th, so I'll be in town.

Yeah best buds with Chris, which is one of the best things that ever happened to me. He's probably one of the best not-huge-but-pretty-big drummers in town. He'll be at the top of the game before too long. Marc is amazing, I also almost played on some tracks for his last record-I keep missing chances to play with him. Looking forward to seeing you out sometime.
