The MK IV head is gone, in case you happen to look in... thanks.
I have to buy a harp for my daughter and this'll make the down payment... so Precious is off to market! I love this amp, and that love is moving through it and on to where it needs to live now.
Early 80s TE head, original Soundwave Co sticker (the people that started Trace Elliot, originally a PA company in England) stapled to the inside of the plywood chassis. 250 conservative watts, Pre-Shape, NR toggle, 11 band graphic, effects loop, slave i/o. UV light and 2-speed fan switches on back.
Recently serviced by an enthusiastic tech here in Providence, RI, the amp is in great shape and everything works, no issues. One or two loose corner guards, a spot of rust on the uv light's housing- not on the face- it's on top where the light shines upwards. Can't see it.
I'm looking for $500 + shipping for this one. It's not only a great sounding SS head, but a rare-bird and in class condition. In nearly 30 years I don't believe this amp has needed anything more than a cleaning up and a new ballast for the light bulb. A mite heavy for those who've opted for the new micro-heads, but sound that might bring you back to why you started playing in the first place... and it's a tank. All-around a great head.
Back panel:
Rockin'...
Thanks for looking in.
Oh- and I have this for sale too: Trace Elliot 1153-T, New England

I'll bet it's over 40lbs, it seems heavier than the Hartke A100 combo, and that's around 50 I think. I'll get back and post tonight... glad you asked!

They are absolutely fantastic SS amps though, and Trace Elliot's are powerful! for their wattage ratings.

| | | | I am looking to buy this exact amp from a local music store. As you once owned this, you might know the answers to these questions:
The light labeled "ECI" is blinking, and it is causing a clicking noise to come out of the cab. (The clicking happens in sync with the blinking, so I am assuming it is caused by the blinking). What Is ECI?
You probably don't remember this...but how could I find out What Size Is The Blacklight? |

| | Registered User | | Join Date: Apr 2004 Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada | | Bump for one of the best bass amps ever conceived. This particular vintage of Trace were really special ones IMHO. All the subsequent series never sounded quite as magical as the early GP11 heads did. To this day I have yet to hear any other bass amp that can slam like a Trace head. Heavy or not, these tanks got it done. This one looks to be in really great condition, somebody is going to get quite a gem.
Cheers,
Paul
