Price Correction Edit: $300+ shipping.
MK IV (GP-11 preamp) bass guitar head, model AH250. Circa 1984, pre-Mk V, SMC, X, Series-6, SM/SMX lines... well before Kaman Music or Gibson... or Peavey's new, uglier models.

The business-card from "Soundwave", the original PA-manufacturing company that became Trace-Elliot, is still stapled to the inside of the plywood sleeve, for a gauge as to the age of the amp.
The amp still works, sounds like a Trace Elliot should! Needs a routine-type visit to your amp tech: It makes intermittent noise when in operation, but the sound coming through is full and punchy, the amp functions normally in all other respects. Probably a capacitor or two... The UV light bulb needs replacing. Generally routine stuff for an old amp.
It's a great head, a rare-bird and a true prize for T-E fans, and one you won't find floating around in the marketplace very often. I have two other Trace amps and am not a collector. I'd rather turn it into something else... so the 'first-generation boutique' amp is up for sale. $300+ shipping takes 'er away, not interested in trades. Call Rog at (401) 300-2939.
Thanks for looking in.
