Trace V Type 300 H head for sale at $125, including shipping. Why is the price so low? I did something really stupid, plugged the speaker output into a cab, without realizing another amp was already plugged into the same cab's other input! Heard crackling, smelled that nasty electronics frying smell and the amp went silent. Powered it down. Powered it back on, no output, and most importantly, got a shock when I touched the chassis!
British Audio Services sells a complete replacement output amp module for $170, that may be all this amp needs. Or not. I'm not a tech and don't play one on TV. If you are a tech or want to buy this and have a tech check it out, this could be a great deal. This is/was a really nice sounding head, quite tubey (after all, it has a complete V Type tube pre built in). It is in reasonably good cosmetic shape, all knobs/switches feel solid, though the carpet looks a bit tatty. If you would like pics, please pm your email address and I'll send a couple.
Price is $125, including ground shipping in the lower 48. Paypal is fine from confirmed users/addresses. Again, this amp does not currently work and could present a hazard, so don't buy it and expect to use it until a qualified tech has given it a clean bill of health! |
