Hi folks. Just a feeler, but I'm kicking around the idea of trading my AE210 for a HT112ER stack. Message me if you've got a HT112ER, HT112ER + HT112ER, HT112ER + EX112ER you'd like to trade, we can discuss cash adjustments as appropriate.
[PS - I'm just looking at ER's, folks, I'm a five- and six-stringer.] |

It has great mids and not as big sounding as the ER's. If you're mostly EB player the ER is definitely a go go but either way you cannot go wrong with a bergie..
I like the ER better but the non-ER line is a good choice too. It just depends on your taste. |

But I'm swapping out a cabinet that's already ridiculously good: the sole motivation is to get exactly what I'm looking for rather than "very close". |

I really like for upright bass where I want a tight articulate low end, but for electric bass, the non ER box just hasn't got the lows. The box will however take a lot of power. It also takes eq really well. So if you have lots of power and eq, you can get a little more low end out of it. Still, not enough for me.
The box takes the B string just fine, just lacks lows. JMHO |

How 'bout the AE112? Anyone know where that stands in the Grand Scheme Of Things? |

I find that the HT112 on its own lacks some low end, but two together still sound pretty good. The AE112 sounds good on its own (as I am sure it sounds good doubled up too) as well as being about 10 lbs lighter, although slightly larger.
I bought the older HT/EX before the AE line came out as I would have likely bought two AE112's instead. But, for the price and the amount of difference it would make, I don't think it would be worth switching them. When I need two, I go with the HT/EX, when I need one, out comes the AE.
